Home Furnace or Safety Question?

I have my furnace on in my house, and have for a few weeks now. Today I was in my office and there was like a burning smell (kind of like dust burn smell when you first turn a furnace on). Now I feel light headed and nauseated. What could cause that? My monoxide detectors are fine?
