I had surgery 7 weeks ago and I have itched all over ever since what isit and how do I make it quit?

I had a hysterectomy and had complications, my 2 1/2 hour surgery turned into an 8 hour surgery. Since then I have itched all over. I thought it was a drug reaction but I've not taken any meds in three weeks.
