What is the point of 'cloaking' technology.?

On the understanding that wars exist to kill very large numbers of people while causing much destruction, which generates work, I too don't understand the point of cloaking technology. Wars happen when capitalism is in a mess - as now - but the one country raining down all the destruction and killing isn't being touched at all. Cloaking technology will mean that Lockheed Martin will make even less profit from wars. So, cloaking technology will only serve to harm the economies of the countries that utilize it. Therefore, the principle loser in this "war on terror" will be the USA. They have no post-conflict (work creating) regeneration requirements, more and more of the world is turning against that once beautiful nation and Lockheed Martin will make fewer sales as its killing machines are now so good that they themselves cannot be destroyed. How long will it be before we humans wake up and realize that we have much more to gain from cooperation than competition, helping instead of hindering, educating rather than making qualifications easier and living in a society based upon social need rather than individual greed.
