Help me with my friend?

What happened was my friend Rachel S. is in my P.E cl and there have been rumors that i like her and i do . so the guy who think he's all that named brad decides he's gonna ask her out for me. When she found out she wanted me to ask and i was to nervous, so Brad asks her later she said no. HE TELLS ME SHE SAID YES AND TO MAKE ME BELIEVE IT MAITLYN TELLS ME THE SAME THING. So i thought so we're goin out . and the whole thing spreads like crazy my P.E teacher even knew he asked me sarcastically "Andy, are you sittin in a tree wit Rachel" so i thought we were goin out. and even the guys in the locker room thought we were goin out and at the cafeteria Rachel told my friend jake to tell me we werent goin out so i was a lil sad about it and i turn to brad and i nearly hit him i was pissed at brad so much and i want me and rachel and me to still be friends please help
