Sore throat, achy, tired all the time. What could this be?

For the past week or so I've been seriously sick. My parents don't believe me. I've got a sore, itchy throat, I'm achy, and I'm tired all the time. I started coughing today. It's like a deep cough and sometimes phlegm comes up. What could this be? Some help would be greatly appreciated.
