What if you become really attracted to your guys best friend?

I'm 16 and I had been hanging out and hooking up with a guy who lives about 40 minutes away. It couldn't really get much more serious because of the distance. He's very good looking and i was instantly attracted to him. We wouldnt talk for a while, and then start talking and things would pick back up. THis past week i got to see him.I hung out with him and his friend. The friend is extremely good looking, nice and fun to be with. We flirted subtly but under the cirstances we were in nothing more than that. He thought i was really into the guy i've known for a while. The friend was hanging out with my friend as something to do. The guy and i have a mutual friend who told this kid i was interested in him. The next night i texted the kid im interested in and told him he should come up and chill. We cleared up that the other thing with my guy was just a casual hanging out thing. He said he would definetely consider it, and asked how we could pull it off without starting shady stuff between the other guy and him. He lives 20ish minutes from me. He is 18. Is there some kind of guy thing that prevents them from hanging out with the girl that the friend dated? If you think the girl is very good looking and your interested does it matter?
