3 Year old with extreme night time cough???? Please need some insight!!?

Hi. I wonder about his mattress or maybe his pillow. How old/new are they? Is there new/old carpet in his room? Have you washed the walls in the house? Who smokes in the house? You may have to bring him to emerg if all else fails. Also, is the flu going on around you? Good luck with this.
